Dystopian world from a 5 year old perspective

I look at the thick gas through the window. Our world will end soon, my mommy says. Our water is green. I want to be a dancer, but mommy says that life won’t be long enough for me. I used to go swimming outside. I would splash my sister. She isn’t here anymore, Mommy said she was likely to perish, I wonder what that means? That was when the world was fun. Now I can’t even go outside.  People in yellow suits with big vacuums walk our streets. We have to wear yellow suits when we go shopping, and when daddy comes home from the streets. I wish I could live for longer.
