The TouchDown

There was a day with laughter and happiness it was a very good day we had a big game ahead of us our minds were spining round and round it was hard for us to grab it. We were focused on the football game  then our famliy we were nervous not kowing that we were in big trouble going aginst the outlaws they were big and bad.The time has come it was game day our coach was now telling us that we were going aginst the outlaws our smiles went up side down some of our best players walked out on us we were terrified coach sayed we beat them before we can do it again.I came out of my fears and got all of our touchdowns I became the best player of the team I even got a pic 6 that game that was the best day ever.

The Amazing "First Game Catch"

I love playing baseball, but I have never been to a game. For my birthday, my parents bought me Cardinals tickets! I can not tell you how excited I was to go! The big day came, and I crammed on my favorite player Matt Holliday's jersey, and ran into the car. "Don't forget your glove!" my dad cried. I shrugged and took it along with me as well, as I did not know what I would use it for. When we got to the stadium, my family and I took our seats, and waited for the game to begin...
In the final inning, as Matt Holiday got up to bat, the whole stadium was silenced. Staring at the ball. The bat went CRACK and as quick as a hare, I grabbed my glove and caught the ball. Another GREAT home run for the St. Louis Cardinals!
I was in the bullpen warming up my arm, i am the star pitcher of the St Louis Cardinals.  My name is Quinn Council and i am number 27.  Matt Holiday, my teammate number seven was up to bat.  First pitch fouled back to the backstop.  Again the pitcher sets up in his windup delivers the pitch ball high, 1 and 1.  The pitcher again winds up delivers, CRACK!  The ball flew up and up through the sky, into the bullpen.  Right at me!  I put my glove up and caught it, Home run!

The Stretch. The wind up, the catcher signed. The pitch, a fastball right on the outside corner, Matt Holiday was at the plate, he swung at the fastball like a blur of brown wood. The ball soared `through the air at what looked like the speed of sound. It soared over the second basemen then over the right fielders head into the bleachers.I extended my glove and heard the ball fall in with a satisfiying kerplonk. I held it up and saw that Matt Holiday was trotting extremely happily  into the dugout after the first homerun of the season.

The Great Catch
It all happened in slow motion. The pitcher took a breath, wound up his arm, and the whole stadium watched, on the edge of their seats, as the pitcher thew the ball, his hand outstretched, the ball sliding out of his fingers. It was a smooth, hard strait ball. Matt Holiday was up to bat, and as the ball glided, cutting the sky as it was hurled at him, squinted at it, then his bat was swung at the ball, crack! Matt dropped the bat and ran to first base, so fast he wasn't there when the bat clattered to the ground. He watched with the rest everyone, his team, the crowd, the other team, the coaches and the ump the ball fly in the air, over the gate between the crowd and the field, and I saw then the ball coming towards me, and I could hear in the back round everyone rise to their feet, screaming telling me it was coming my way, but I was focused on the ball. It sailed over to me, I rocked back and forth, trying to aim the ball into my glove. It finally landed in my glove with a satisfying clunk.
